How to Cope When After Losing A Loved One To Addiction
Addiction is something that touches nearly all of our lives at one time or another. The stats bear that out with 46% of people saying they have a loved one who has an addiction. I recorded this episode in January 2021. I had no idea I would become one of those stats almost one year later when I lost my brother Tony in February of 2022. This is a replay of that episode because I think it is so important to discuss addiction, especially around the holidays.
I’m so thankful for what my friend Marcie Lewis shared in this episode. Marcie’s sister Sam was an addict who lost her life to the disease. Marcie shares how she will not let Sam’s death be in vain, how she has coped with losing her sister, and the work she is doing with Not One More Alabama (NOMA).
