Scott Foster and Steve Cannon, two legends in the world of insurance, stop by the Club Capital Leadership Podcast to share jewels regarding running an agency, taking care of your community, life insurance and retaining clients and employees for decades.
Scott is a native of Georgia, Scott graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a degree in Risk Management & Insurance. Along with his CLU designation, Scott is a life and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He has been in the top 10 State Farm life agents every year of his 40 plus year career with 24 years as the #1 life agent and 21 years as the #1 multiline agent. He has qualified for State Farm President’s Club more than 80 times and State Farm Trophy 18 times, most recently in 2016.
Steve grew up in Greenwood, South Carolina and graduated from The Citadel with a degree in Business Administration. He worked in the medical sales field for seven years before joining the State Farm family in 1988 as an Agent Team Member in Aiken, South Carolina. After qualifying the Agent for his first Ambassador travel trip in the Agent’s 38 years of service, Steve was offered his own agency in Marietta, Georgia. Steve opened his agency as a scratch agent on September 1, 1989 and qualified for Ambassador travel in just four months. Since that time, Steve has qualified 29 more times for travel with 15 years as an exotic traveler. Steve’s office is now located in Woodstock, GA and he has consistently been ranked as a top 50 State Farm Agent for 24 of the past 29 years. Steve’s passion for providing Good Neighbor Service and ensuring his customers are adequately protected is evidenced by his many accomplishments as a State Farm Agent.
